The staff at Aspire underpin everything we do and aspire to achieve, they are our biggest asset.
With over 150 staff across all business areas and the entire team are all here to make your experience of Aspire Sports and Cultural Trust a great one.
The staff are led by a Management Team, details of whom are outlined below.
As Chief Executive, Jacquie provides strategic direction and leadership of the Charity and works closely with the Trustees and key partners to ensure Aspire’s charitable objectives are met.
Jacquie is an avid sports and music fan enjoying a range of community and national sporting and music events.
As HR Manager for Aspire and Company Secretary for the Charity, Jane is responsible for strategic and operational HR and Training, working with Managers and employees in achieving the Charities mission and values.
Outside of work Jane enjoys time with her family and friends, and is a keen Gloucester Rugby supporter.
at GL1 Leisure Centre
Matt is the Centre Manager at GL1. He oversees the operations of the Centre and ensures customers receive the best possible service whilst using our facilities.
Outside of work Matt enjoys spending time with his family, running and watching as many sporting events as possible.
at Oxstalls Sports Park
Karl is the Centre Manager at Oxstalls Sports park. He has recently relocated to Gloucester from Hertfordshire after working for 11 years in the university sector. Karl also works on partnerships and developments including the new sports project based at the Oxstalls campus in Gloucester.
Karl’s main focus out of work is his young family which indirectly means Karl has an interest in ballet, dance, singing and Little Mix.
Tom is the Marketing Manager for the Charity and is responsible for the delivery of our marketing and brand development across all our services. This means ensuring the Charity’s objectives and facilities are promoted to the community with a fully integrated approach reaching various demographic profiles.
Outside of work Tom loves spending time with young family, is still attempting to play football while his legs will let him and also plays golf when he can get away it.
Customer Services Manager
Jackie is responsible for the delivery of the front line customer services at Aspire and is passionate about ensuring the team provide high levels of customer service to all customers
Outside of work Jackie enjoys spending time with her family, travelling and watching Rugby.
Group Health and Fitness Manager
Helen is responsible for health and wellbeing programmes along with new initiatives and is passionate about helping to change peoples' lives. Helen has experienced a long and extensive career in the fitness industry and is committed to finding ways to inspire, motivate and activate all groups and communities in the area.

As a Personal Assistant Jenny provides support to the Charity’s Trustees, Executive, Senior Management Team and HR.
Jenny’s is also a keen archer and enjoys long walks in the countryside.
Tennis Performance Officer
at Oxstalls Sports Park
Steve is an LTA licensed tennis coach and schools tutor. He is responsible for the tennis programme at Oxstalls Sports Park and is also the captain of the men’s A team.
Outside of work Steve still plays tennis and once managed to visit all 4 tennis grand slams in the same year. Steve was awarded the Gloucestershire coach of the year in 2013 and was the AEGON coach of the month for October 2013.
Aquatics Development Manager
Nikki Williams is the aquatics development manager here at Aspire. If your activity involves you getting into one of our pools - that’s Nikki!
In her spare time Nikki play's water polo and dabbles in open water swimming.
